A Thank You.

I received a lovely little thank-you note in the mail yesterday for a wedding I photographed in May. My mind's been on so many other things lately, that it came at very much a surprise. Understandably, everyone is busy at their own wedding in every aspect, and so as a photographer I'm usually quietly in and out of the picture, without any real opportunity for feedback. It felt really good to read this though, and I'm always at my happiest when I know I've made someone else happy :)

As for today, I will be spending the afternoon photographing my lovely friend Maran; we've been pals since elementary school, and I've wanted to take her photo for a long time now. People ask me where I find my models, and the honest truth is that I just ask friends. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward a day where Ford models were at my disposal for a day of shooting [or even some of the less whiny ANTM contestants], but I love being able to take photos of my friends. So many people don't realize the beauty that's inside of them, or just even the things they're capable of if they take a leap of faith and confidence.

Aaand that's enough inspirational speaking for one morning. Enjoy your day!

  4. Your wedding photos portfolio is really impressive. No doubt you'll be receiving more thank you notes from your customers. It made me remember my lovely photos on our wedding day held at Long Island country club. It was captured with certainty.
