It is my twenty-first birthday today! And let me tell you, it's been a wonderful couple of pre-birthday days! On Friday, my parents, Christopher and I all went to the Santa Barbara Zoo [one of my favorite places in the whole world!], and spent the day looking at all the animals, and feeding the giraffes! Giraffe-feeding is something that I don't think will ever get old. And we visited the capybaras twice, and tried to figure out how to get one as a pet, and decided that we would name this potential pet capybara Leonardo DiCapybara. [All name credit goes to my mom - genius, right??]
Saturday, Christopher and I watched the movie Argo together [I saw it earlier this week, but knew he had to see it! Very worthy of its Oscars!], and then went to our friend Alyssa's graduation party. She graduated from CalPoly in three years in the college of business, and is, as we speak, flying to North Carolina for Teach Across America! I have no doubt she could become President someday, if she wanted to.
And then that brings us to today! Everyone's asking what I'm doing for my birthday, and no, I will not be out bar-hopping tonight. I will be enjoying homemade lemon cake, Wrath of Khan, and being with the people I love most :) Not to mention celebrating Father's Day as well! I have pretty much the greatest dad ever.
[And something else fun - there's a little giveaway on Miss Indie's blog that started yesterday - she's giving away one of my prints! You can check it out here!]
I know this post had very little to do with photos, but I'm going back to work tomorrow. Literally. It's fun to write a bit about life away from my camera every once in awhile :)
I hope everyone's having a wonderful weekend!!
